The new bushing is definitely an upgrade over the last one

It worked for about a year and then failed

This new one seems to be more robust

One thing I did to make sure it lasts is

I took a piece of heat shrink and wrapped it around the end and shrank it tight over the bushing and linkage

You mat want to consider adding that to the process
It will ensure the cable won’t pop back off in time if the bushing wallers out like the last one did

Still way cheaper than replacing the whole cable
