Let’s just get the one sore spot out of the way. Yes, the price is a little steep for a small piece of rubber and a plastic tool. But, it’s worth it. It took me less than 10 minutes than change the bushing out. The tool does actually help. And the bushing itself was a perfect fit. Instructions are clear and simple. If I ever have to do another shift cable bushing, I’ll purchase it from here again.
HAVE USED THESE GUYS ABOUT 20 TIMES NOW AND ALWAYS HAVE THE RIGHT THING! THE DORMAN ONES DO NOT WORK AS WELL AS THIS ONE! BYPASS THE DORMAN AND ORDER THIS ONE!!! GOT IT IN ONE FREAKING DAY TOO!!!! GREAT COMPANY TO SOLVE A COMMON PROBLEM
This repair was easier than the video led me to believe it was. The hardest part was extracting the old worn out bushing once it was removed I literally pushed the new one into the holder with my thumb no tools required. I fear that it may still fall off it popped on so easy. It's been a few days and no issues so if it continues working like this I am a happy man.
It has been working and has not fallen off for a week now. really did not find the tool useful. Seems a bit expensive for a piece of plastic buys the time you add shipping in
