The patented (US patent #10,619,723 and #10,215,273) coupling and custom molded replacement bushing ensure a quality repair with ease. A professional can perform this repair in under 10 minutes, average time for a non-professional is less than 25 minutes. This bushing is made from a material that was designed to outlast the factory bushing and includes everything needed to install. Great Fix
Dealer insisted I had to buy the whole cable for $150.00.
The shift cable bushing repair kit saved me $125 and was quick and simple to install -
Fast and easy. Did the trick.
I am not sure how long it will last but it sure beat the $75 for the whole new shift cable.

quick and easy
I was skeptical of this actually working, but it was quick to install and is functioning well. It is a lot easier than the replacing the entire cable. Dealer quote 300 dollars to replace cable. Dealer stated entire cable needs to be replaced. This product makes that statement untrue. The video instructions were spot on. For all you semi handy guys that hate paying large sums of money for simple tasks this is for you. I am not a mechanic in fact I am a pharmacist. If your cable is not really broken except the bushing ;this is all you need. I can not comment on the longevity of the product, but I will write another review in future.

Best product on the market for its application
The gear selector in the van we drive stopped working. After deciding not to pay upwards of 100.00 for a new one, and not finding an autoparts store that just sold the broken bushing, I stumbled across this product. Shipping was fast, and once I got it, it took about 40 seconds to install. Within 10 minutes the van was working again. Dont purchase a new cable, just purchase a new bushing. THANK YOU!
