  1. Toyota Tundra shift linkage 3 Star Review

I gave it 3 stars since I just installed it today. Have to wait to see how long it lasts to give it more stars. It did fix the problem and being able to shift gears to park , drive etc. I would also say this piece is so essential for the operation of my truck and the costs of buying this piece and doing it myself saves couple hundred dollars for towing it to the dealers and having the fix the problem. I also had help from a neighbor who does self fixing of automobiles. I asked for his help.

This is the real deal. Toyota would have you buy a whole new cable, $180, plus hours of labor, just because they don't want to make and sell you one of these. Thank goodness for bushing fix. :)

Easy to install. Work as it should. Much easier to install than a new cable and cheaper too.

  5. Bulls-eye! 5 Star Review

I found Bushingfix.com while watching YouTube videos for a solution to my dangling, loose shift cable. I ordered the kit that I needed for my 2006 Toyota Tundra Limited (HR1Kit). It came four days later. The directions were straight forward and simple. A small packet of grease was included, in the kit, to lubricate the shift lever pin. I popped the bushing into the shift cable end then popped it right onto the shift lever pin. I had a temporary fix on it until the part arrived. I put a small piece of hanger wire around the notch of the shift lever pin to get me by until I received my Bushingfix kit. The exploded view of the parts, in my PDF manual, does not show a replacement bushing. You have to purchase the entire cable. It is about $200! My truck (Automatic transmission) even shifts crisper and smoother into gear. Great product!

  6. piece of cale 5 Star Review

On advice of my mechanic I took off the steering clamshell. Told me to look for where the play was. It would either be a cracked controller or the cable grommet. Either was an expensive part and 2-3 hours labor. Fortunately it was the cable end. Even more fortunately I found this relatively inexpensive quick fix. Like new again.

  7. perfect fit! 4 Star Review

Searches everywhere for a solution to fix my shift cable without replacing the whole thing. This is the only option I found for a good fix. Easy to install. Fit like a glove.

  8. Fixed the problem! 5 Star Review

The transmission shifter on my 2006 Tundra quit working recently.... the factory bushing in the steering column had disintegrated. The BushingFix bushing was a perfect fit and the shifter works like new.

  9. Tundra bushing fix 4 Star Review

Posted by on 5th Jul 2017

Bushing fit perfectly, however on a 2004 Tundra it doesn't use a clip. I had to obtain a clip to hold it in place. The original was a snap in place.

(Bushingfix edit: Our kit, like the factory piece, doesn't require a clip, it will hold without.)

  10. Saved me $250 and headache 5 Star Review

Posted by on 22nd May 2017

The dealer doesn't sell this part and recommended to just replace the entire shift control cable for that bushing which amounted to $250! Crazy right?! The bushing went right in and with the help from a jesus clip I was back on the road. thank you.
