inexpensive and easy solution!
I was scared to find out what fixing my gear shaft cable was going cost me but the piece I ordered from bushing fix saves the day! For approximately $35 (with expedited shipping) and less than 10minures of my time- all is good! I'm a happy camper!

Ordering the product was quick and easy. I was suprised as to the availability of this specific bushing.
As stated, odering was very simple process and the availability of this very specific bushing was great. Your follow up info regarding shipping was also appreciated. However, I have yet to recieve the product. I checked the usps tracking which indicated the product was supposed to have been delivered to my mail box on Sat. 9/16/17. I have contacted the usps and they are in the process of tracking the item. So at the moment, I'm in limbo, no bushing and my vehicle is still inoperable. Hoping for a positive outcome.

SO SIMPLE!
I'm so glad I found this product! I started at a local parts store, but they didn't have what I needed. I almost ordered the entire shift cable, (just for the bushing.) This bushing feels more durable, and the little tool that it came with was not needed. Just a little pressure and in it went! Great product, fast shipping! Thank you Bushingfix.com

Done Deal
Easy fix, and 1/2 the price of ordering OEM.

Bushy perfection
Difficult using the press in tool, only because of the angle at which I attacked the cable. I used The 'elbow grease' (with real grease) method, and it popped it in with my finger, problem. After the repair, Interestingly, the shifter was hard to move at first, but only because the cable was tight as it should be! I got spoiled over time, because essentially I had no bushing. So, feels like a new shifter. Both shops I called wanted $350 to replace the cable... The only method they use to replace bushings. With 25 bucks and a little mechanical know how, boom... Fixed! One extremely critical thing to know for those who attempt this repair... The most difficult part was reconnecting the two wires that activate the overdrive switch on the bottom of the shifter. They disconnect automatically when removing the shifter stem. It's EXTREMELY EXTREMELY difficult to reattach these wires.. you must be extremely patient and use tiny needle nose pliers. Forceps work best. I'm sure that some of you who grew up during the 70s have at least one pair of these. Once these wires are reconnected you're back home!

excellent repair piece.
My Nissan xTerra's shifter cable came lose because the OEM bushing deteriorated away. Thanks to this part and a helpful video on YouTube. I was able to fix it very cheaply. Use this. It's better than spending $300.00 at the dealer.

Best fit even better fix.
I'm just going to say that this item saved me a great deal of time and money.
Ordered part on Monday and by Thursday I had the part in hand.
It fit perfectly and in no time I was driving my Nissan Xterra.
So easy, I, being a woman, did it by myself.
Thanks BushingFix.com.
