CA1KIT™ kit (US patent #10,619,723 and #10,215,273) allows you to quickly and easily repair your manual transmission shift cables by replacing the bushing in each cable. The patented coupling and custom molded replacement bushings ensure a quality repair with ease. A professional can perform this repair in under 2 minutes, average time for a non-professional is less than 5 minutes. This bushings are made from a material that was designed to outlast the factory bushings and includes everything needed to install. CA1kit 2 round red bushings

Bought and installed these on my 2013 Ford Focus ST. Produced the desired result: a noticeable crispness in the gearshift. EXACTLY what BushingFix said their product would accomplish.
Every other Focus ST product on the market requires you to disassemble the original equipment bushing you are replacing to reuse the core in your new aluminum bushings.
The BushingFix solution requires none of the above. Once you pick apart the worn out old bushings to remove them, you use the gray installation tool to install the BushingFix urethane bushings in minutes. You readjust the neutral position of your shifter, reinstall the air cleaner, and you thrill at the new crispness of your shifts.
Your face will soon become sore due to the constant smiling. Theses bushings will make you enjoy precisely rowing the gears in stop and go driving.

What a difference!

Our 2013 Chevy Sonic 6 speed has two round shift cable ends, with plastic end hoops. I special ordered a kit with two round (red) bushings. With the plastic end hoops on our cables the red bushings are the only parts from the kit needed.

I found the easiest way to remove the old bushings was to drill the centers out with a 5/8" drill bit. Use a set of slip-joint pliers to press the bushings into the loops. I was able to do this without removing the cables from the car completely.

The difference in shift feel from the factory squishy bushings is night-and-day! Solid, gated shift feel!
